Easter is about faith, because Easter is about light.
Jesus came as Light from the Father of lights into a world darkened by sin and death, and His light shone especially at the resurrection. At His resurrection, His "appearance was like lightning, and His garment as white as snow" (Matt. 28). By His resurrection, He became "the first to proclaim light both to the people and to the Gentiles" (Acts 26). At the resurrection, the Father exalted Jesus as the light of the world, setting Him high on a lampstand that cannot be hid.
The light of the resurrection is the light of God's faithfulness.
The God who said in the beginning "Let light come out of darkness" spoke again and brought Jesus the Light from the darkness of death, and He has shone that same light in our hearts. The light of the resurrection demonstrates that God can be trusted in life and in death. He can be trusted in death, through death, after death.
You have been called out of darkness into His marvelous light. That means that you will never face any darkness so deep, no trial so severe, that it can blot out the light of the resurrection. Jesus said, "I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness." Darkness neither comprehends nor can overcome this light. On the contrary, light overcomes darkness.
This doesn't only mean that God will bring light after your dark night. That is true; joy does come in the morning. But Easter faith also walks in the light in the midst of darkness. So, believe the One who raised Jesus from the dead, and walk in the light. Trust Him, and believe that you still and always walk in the light even while you are in the shadows.
